• Engage with customers in terms of identifying solutions for both new and existing customer needs, whilst maximising Vita’s innovation footprint within our specialist market industries.
• Support and be a conduit between innovation and commercial functions.
• To ensure that products and application solutions meet or exceed customer expectations.
• To support and drive potential market opportunities identified, in conjunction with the commercial teams.
• To create and lead innovation workshops with customers & third parties in close co-operation with commercial teams.
• To manage, develop and fully utilise the site innovation centre.
• To manage and prioritise the innovation project pipeline in alignment with the Innovation Director.
• To build external relationships with research bodies and academic institutions.

• You have a higher education degree in Material Science, Polymer Science or a related subject.
• The active management of research and development experts combined with product launches/significant new product developments is incumbent on you.
• You are experienced in building technology plans that have delivered commercial results.
• In the past, you already worked in a similar decentralised company and have demonstrable personal credibility.
• You demonstrate a strong team-based approach to management, having recruited and developed high-performing individuals as well as high-performing teams.
• Also, you demonstrate a sound process for weighing options and making decisions. You are prepared to challenge the status quo and take calculated risks.
• You have the ability to generate unique and appropriate solutions when required.
• Experience in implementing programmes and projects, that is what you have - you are a self-starter (m/f/d) with a 'can-do' attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, the sensitivity to bind lasting relationships, the enthusiasm for technology, credibility, sympathy and an authentic appearance round off your profile.
