The Bundesliga is one of the world’s most successful sports leagues being a social institution in Germany since 1963 with brand awareness levels of 99% and millions of enthusiastic fans all around the world.

The main task of DFL Digital Sports GmbH is the production of media content in order to promote the Bundesliga brand internationally. Based in Cologne, the DFL Digital Sports GmbH produces and publishes media content via a variety of digital platforms. This includes production of content for international markets and the implementation of the league’s own platforms. 

For our team in Cologne, Germany we are looking for an

Software Developer (m/f/d)

• Development of the global, digital Bundesliga products and state-of-the-art cloud-native front- and backend environment based on microservices and self-contained system
  
• Joining a team of a highly motivated internal and external developers using agile methods and DevSecOps approach
  
• Working with modern cloud services like AWS, GCP, Azure with a high focus on the AWS ecosystem
  
• Iterative improvement of our CI/CD processes as well as maintenance of our development tools
  
• Continuous performance, security and stability monitoring as well as testing of applications and entire architecture
  
• Evaluation of new AWS solutions and services against our needs and possible future business challenges
  
• Support in development of MVPs/POCs to further help innovate within the entire DFL Group
  

• University degree, preferably in computer science, business computer science, media computer science, or comparable education (e.g. certified IT specialist)
  
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in the agile development, testing and operation of modern/cloud-native applications and systems
  
• First AWS experience with container services and databases
  
• Familiar with cloud software stacks, especially Java 8+, Spring, Node.JS, Angular, Git, AWS and Jenkins
  
• Having Hands-On Experience with React Native as an advantage
  
• A high level of responsibility and teamwork
  
• Hands-on mentality
  
• Fluent in English

The position is initially based on a two-year fixed contract.
