Associate Scientist Bioinformatics (m/w/d)

• Collaborate with R&D staff to collect, parse, clean and standardize experimental data derived from a variety of devices and/or manual input
• Analyze and evaluate experimental data to provide information for client reports or scientific publications
• Develop and expand machine learning pipelines
• Help extend and develop software for use by R&D scientists, such as databases, APIs, and simple web tools
• Proactively help the team improve communication, internal processes, remove impediments, and enhance knowledge transfer

• Scientific degree (MSc or equivalent) in math, physics, data science, or a life science degree. A PhD is a plus
• Scientific mindset, experience with sparse data from lab experiments
• Advanced skills in either python or R. Additional experience with java, C#, or C++ is a plus
• The previous mastery of any highly technical topic, as demonstrated through achievements, teaching, or online examples (e.g. link to github, stackoverflow, kaggle) is a plus
• Willingness to learn the foundations of biopharmaceutical formulation development. Previous experience in a related field is a plus, (e.g. biostatistics, protein biochemistry, structural biology, molecular dynamics, molecular modelling, chromatography, mass spectrometry, sequence or clinical data analysis)
• Excellent communication skills in English and/or German as well as enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary and international environment
