At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Biophysics Group is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

• Independently designing, directing and analyzing enzymatic assays and work flows in context of a project plan using RF/MS technology
• Support of RF/MS data analysis and recording
• Leading drug discovery projects with a focus on RF/MS-based screening to the client's satisfaction
• Reporting of updates on RF/MS-based projects and ensuring all necessary project documentation to internal as well as external stakeholders
• Implementing an efficient project management and resolving an incident management with a problem solving attitude including process optimization and implementation
• Executing all project-related experimental activities and organizing lab activities of laboratory staff in a matrix environment
• Supervising data generation with a strong focus on enzyme kinetics, data interpretation and designing new experiment as needed accordingly
• Communicating findings in multidisciplinary project teams on a local and global level effectively
• Actively driving proposal generation for new opportunities with existing or new clients
• Staying updated with the relevant technologies, scientific findings and considerable literature for projects/expertise to provides technical expertise to your team of 2-3 direct reports

• PhD degree in Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry or a related discipline with sound post-doc experience preferably obtained in the Pharma or Biotechindustry
• Excellent scientific insight and proven ability to apply these insights into projects applying LC, LC/MS and/or RF/MS technologies
• Sound knowledge of biophysical/mass spectrometric activities (e.g. LC/MS, RF/MS) demonstrated in several publications
• Experience and insight into other biophysical activities used in the department and projects, i.e. binding assays like SPR or DSF
• Experience in project management with budget accountability
• Experience in drug discovery with a strong focus on enzymology is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal, technical and communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional project teams and within a matrix and culturally diverse environment
• Ideally proven leadership skills within a matrix environment
• Excellent written and oral skill in English on a business level; German language skills are welcome
