We are looking for highly motivated, self-driven and competent colleagues who share our vision and wish to contribute to translating this vision into reality.
You will further strengthen our company by contributing to the discovery and validation of novel targets using state-of-the-art technologies and proprietary established platforms. You will be involved in the characterization of functional drug candidates against these novel targets. Your tasks will include:
  • Validation of gene function in modulating T cell responses using genetic knockout studies (CRISPR, RNAi etc.)
  • Design and optimization of proprietary genetic screening platform in new disease models
  • Establishment of state-of-the-art molecular biology methods
  • Analysis of pharmacological effect of cancer immunotherapy drug candidates on primary immune cells and tumor cells using various immunological and cell-based assays
  • Scientific work based on literature research and gained experience to support the team in data interpretation as well as new assay setup and optimization
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the design and conduction of the above-mentioned experiments including careful documentation and presentation of your results in internal team meetings. The position has its main focus on lab work, but also comprises non-lab work-related organizational tasks as mentioned above.
You are a passionate scientist with a PhD in biotechnology, biochemistry, biology or a related field and have a flair for innovation.
  • You have a strong hands-on experience in gene modification (e.g., RNAi, CRISPR) and associated high-throughput methodologies (e.g., CRISPR delivery, knockout efficacy assessment etc.)
  • You have a background in tumor biology and/or immunology
  • You are familiar with standard cellular (isolation/culture of primary tumor cells or immune cells) and immunological techniques (e.g., flow cytometry, Western blot, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in immune cell-based functional assays (cytotoxicity assays, cytokine release assays, macrophage polarization assays) would be advantageous
  • Proficiency with Flowjo and GraphPad Prism
  • Knowledge of bioinformatic tools (e.g., R, python, etc.) would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and creative individual with team-work spirit and strong interpersonal skills
