Molecular biologist - protein-protein interaction (m/f/d)

Actome GmbH is an award-winning young start-up from the University of Freiburg that supports life science research and medical innovations by enabling the quantification of proteins and protein-protein interactions. Our patented "Emulsion Coupling" technology allows for analysis of biological samples with single molecule sensitivity for scientific discoveries, pharmaceutical innovations and novel personalized therapies. We achieve this unique performance by translating protein status into DNA barcodes and using digital PCR-technology for quantification.

You have completed a degree in molecular biology, molecular medicine or comparable academic training with excellent results. Ideally, you have already gained experience in a PhD project, a post-doctoral position or in industry. You are proficient in classical laboratory practice and experienced with both: digital PCR and protein analytical methods. Ideally, you have already worked with single cell technologies and have good bioinformatics and or programming skills. You are highly committed to research, flexible, and able to work under pressure. You have excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German. You are a team player and curious to work in the lab on new methods with professional, meticulous routine.

We offer an exciting interdisciplinary job opportunity in small dedicated, highly qualified and friendly team. You can work at the interface between industry and academia with access to a unique innovative technology and modern state-of the art laboratory equipment (e.g. Stilla Naica and QIACuity dPCR platforms, cytena c.sight single-cell printer, etc.). The position is initially limited to one year at the beginning. The possibility of an extension and the opportunity to take responsibility in a highly innovative and fast growing start-up company is given.
