Senior Technical Product Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking – as soon as possible, full-time and permanent – to recruit a Senior Technical Product Manager (m/f/d) to support the technical development of innovative web applications/interfaces and join an agile and growing development team within KWS Saat SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck, Lower Saxony.

Do you want to be part of a dynamic project, working on the digitalization of breeding and seed production-related field activities by creating GIS applications for the collection and documentation of all in-field activities, including human, sensor and machine derived data – with a focus on the platform technology?Your new challenges: 

• Lead the development and management of technical aspects of the ongoing development of the field planning and management platform
• Supervise the system infrastructure, databases and product performance benchmarking to ensure optimum functionality and efficiency
• Identify, document and refine requirements from business problems to detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that include technical requirements.
• Assist with the scoping and development of interfaces to other systems such as SAP, in-field hardware and IoT solutions
• Quality Assurance through manual and automated testing
• Discover and implement new platform and database technologies, such as Cloud applications
• Maintain and advance technical documentation

Bring in your competencies: 

• University degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
• Several years of proven experience as a technical product manager with in-depth technical skills to support product development, such as microservices
• Exposure to leading teams in an agile setting with SCRUM, e.g. Azure dev ops
• Good Quality Assurance experience in the areas of testing and benchmarking
• Confident capability working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Demonstrated aptitude for technology scouting and interest in Cloud solutions
• Experience with GIS development and geodatabases is a plus
• Excellent team player in an international multicultural environment
• Open-minded, self-motivated, structured and customer satisfaction orientated
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, German is an additional advantage
