This is what you can doIn your role as Hybrid Engine Controls Engineer (f/m/d) you are responsible for the technical development and industrialization of a hybrid-electric turboprop engine for the DO328 aircraft. In partnership with internal and external shareholders, you will be responsible for the design, optimization, build and integration of the powerplant - leading the way for certification and eventual serial production. You will report to the Head of Propulsion and be part of the Aircraft Architecture team.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Development of new technology and architecture for a hybrid-electric turboprop engine, including establishing the certification baseline
- Requirement definition and development of Electronic Engine Control (Hardware and Software)
- Development of technical solutions to integration problems, in collaboration with the different partners
- Integrated Ground- and Flight test for verification of sub-systems integration, operations and reliability
- Performance and Emissions verification
- Assessment of safety analyses at aircraft and system level
You’ll bring this with you - Engineering degree in aeronautics, aviation or mechanical engineering. Advanced degrees are preferred
- 5+ years’ experience, preferably at one or more Part 25/33 OEM’s
- Proven experience with aircraft turbine engines, electrical generators, power supplies, high torque/high voltage electric motors
- Experience of electric engine, hybrid technology is an asset
- Knowledge of Engine FADEC or Electronic Controller design (Hardware/Software)
- Knowledge or willingness to learn more about of DO-178C and software certification aspects
- Experience interacting with certification authorities, suppliers and research offices
- Technical problem-solving ability and flexible team spirit
- Fluent English language skills are essential, German an asset or any other language is beneficial
