Do you want to work with insects to develop sustainable products for the future agriculture? Are you looking for a motivated, dynamic team and the freedom to be innovative?
Then you have come to the right place as a research scientist (all genders) Entomology at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at our headquarters in Einbeck, Germany. The contract will be full-time and permanent, starting on 1 January 2022.

As a member of the Phytopathology Group, you will expand the work around insects in arable crops and integrate new technologies. The focus is on the development of test systems and project management of insect trials in the field and the laboratory.Your responsibilities:

• Implement test systems (laboratory bioassays and field trials) for insects in arable crops
• Report on the progress of projects (e.g. annual reports)
• Scientific supervision and documentation of experiments
• Communicate with project / peer-review teams
• Manage work packages and ensure timely delivery of milestones in the projects
• Support resistance breeding and seed technology programs for insects

Bring in your strengths:

• PhD degree preferably in agricultural sciences, phytopathology, biology or related disciplines
• Very good knowledge of entomology, basic knowledge of phytopathology
• Experience in working with insects in the field
• Experience in project management is an advantage
• Effective, customer-oriented communication and excellent teamwork skills
• Fluent in English, basic knowledge of German is an advantage
