(Senior) Expert/(Senior) Principal Manager - Scouting & Innovation

Tasks & responsibilities

• In your new role, you lead the way in exploring and adopting innovation in clinical development to enhance the speed and value of our drug development.
• You create a scouting and innovation framework with the overarching goal to integrate innovation (process, digital, methodology) in clinical development with a strong multi-stakeholder focus (patient, regulatory, health care providers etc).
• Furthermore, you identify and assess the latest trends in industry (pharmaceutical industry as well as non-traditional stakeholders such as health tech companies) and academia to inform potential amendments to the evidence playbook.
• You act as an innovation consultant for functions within or outside global CD&O to drive clinical development speed and value, and feed learnings into the BI knowledge database.
• As (Senior) Expert/(Senior Principal) Manager you provide (deep) subject matter expertise and experience to drive operational excellence in Clinical Development.

Requirements

• Advanced academic degree with long-term professional experience in health care and global clinical development
• Curiosity for new ideas and developments in health care and a cross-functional, patient-centric, and forward-looking mindset
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external traditional and non-traditional stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal, active listening, communication and influencing skills

Additional requirements for the Senior role:

• MD or PhD with several years of professional experience in clinical development in an international context
• Several years of experience in clinical development/medicine in the pharmaceutical industry and demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders beyond the own organizational reachin clinical development/medicine in the pharmaceutical industry and demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders beyond the own organizational reach
• Profound knowledge and skills in the respective area of responsibility and demonstrated experience in leading, designing and implementing change successfully in the organization, i.e. of all aspects of an operating model related to scouting and innovation
