We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated

PostDoc Oncolytic virotherapy in human tumor ecosystems (f/m/diverse)

Within this research-based position, you will complement the development of human ex vivo based assays to ease the transition to the clinics.Your role:

• Investigate mechanisms of actions of oncolytic viruses/immunomodulatory therapeutics in human tumor ex vivo based primary culturing systems
• Set-up and perform basic cell- and molecular assays (e.g. qPCR, viability assays, IF/IHC)
• Independently execute, evaluate and document experiments
• Support sample organization/logistics
• Interact and communicate proactively within a highly dynamic research network including partners from academia, industry (including presentations of the project work)

Your ideal qualification:

• Biologist (PhD) with a profound expertise and scientific curiosity in tissue-based ex vivo systems human cancer immunology and/or virology
• Sound knowledge in basic cell-and molecular assays including trouble-shoot abilities
• Experience in tissue based assays (3D) or patient-derived samples is a plus
• Ability to independently plan, execute, evaluate and document experiments
• Excellent organization and presentation skills
• Team player with clear communication skills to integrate in a multi-disciplinary, lively and flexible team
• Evidence of scientific rigor as documented by first author peer-reviewed publications
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written; German language skills would be highly appreciated
