THE POSITION

As Post-Doctoral Fellow, you are a primary driver of an innovative research project in basic immunology with a primary focus on human induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (hiPSC)-derived myeloid cells to advance our understanding of myeloid cell biology and their implication in human diseases.

You are a self-standing and driven immunologist willing to leverage the potential of iPSCs to explore novel immune modulatory mechanisms in myeloid cells and to test their impact in disease relevant settings including autoimmunity, cancer, and fibrosis using cutting edge technologies.

This position is limited for two years.

Requirements

• PhD in cell biology, immunology, or a related field with hands on experience in primary cell culture and induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC) differentiation
• Experience in the fields of complex immune cell assays, CRISPR/Cas technology, multi-color flow cytometry and phenotypic screenings is a plus
• Ability to optimally leverage instrument / technology infrastructure and to address scientific questions effectively as well as excellent data analysis- and data management skills.
• Evidence of scientific excellence and rigor in cell biology, immunology, and iPSC culture, as documented by relevant peer-reviewed publications
• Critical- and creative thinking paired with a good amount of self-motivation to innovate
• Excellent communication-, networking-, and presentation skills paired with
