Under the brand name “CR+” KWS develops a portfolio of highly innovative sugarbeet varieties offering highest levels in Cercospora protection and yield performance. For our International AgroService team we are seeking for an Agronomy Expert (m/f/d) in Plant Disease Management at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA as soon as possible. The International AgroService is the scientific backbone of agronomic consulting in sugarbeet and contributes agronomic expertise to research and development projects. Based on innovative genetics and agronomic expertise, you will provide technical consulting concepts for Cercospora management in sugarbeet with a view to current and future developments in the market. The working location is in Einbeck (Lower Saxony/Germany), furthermore this exciting and diversified position is unlimited and full-time.Your tasks - challenge meets responsibility:

• Push forward together with our experts in breeding and phytopathology innovative and sustainable cultivation strategies for new sugarbeet varieties
• Creation of disease and pest management concepts for innovative and highly disease resistant sugarbeet varieties including the aid of prognosis models, phenotyping methods, digital farming solutions etc.
• Active search for new developments for long-term resistance management in sugarbeet and implementation of respective content in consulting concepts for growers
• Planning, steering and conducting of field trials on an international level
• Transfer from complex scientific content into agronomic consulting
• Actively support our international sugarbeet experts on crop management related questions

Your Profile - competence meets personality:

• Scientific degree preferably in agricultural science, biology or in a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in an Agricultural and Crop Management related area ideally closely linked to crop protection, crop management or agronomy consulting
• Strong Passion for agronomy, pest and disease control in arable farming with regard to latest digital solutions
• Excellent team player, good communication and analytical skills, integration of scientific and non-scientific aspects
• Open minded and target oriented combined with drive and elan to collaborate in international teams to successfully develop customer-oriented crop management projects
• Professional written and verbal communication skills in English, other additional language skills, eg. In Russian, German, French or Spanish are an advantage
• Willingness to travel frequently and internationally (approx. 20%)
