We are looking for an experienced Head of Manufacturing Technology Management with a min. of seven years’ experience in a similar leadership role, within a global matrix-organization to join our diverse, multi-cultural global Service Operations Team.

In this position, you will be primarily engaged in leading the Manufacturing Technology Core Team, driving innovation, complex processes and project management operations forward in a results driven, proactive and inquisitive manner. You already possess very strong business acumen, manufacturing technology know-how, and the ability to focus on what matters most.

Reporting Line: Head of Global Service Operations

Location: Balzers, Liechtenstein or Bingen, Germany

• Lead a Smart Operations team focusing on the automation and digitalization in the production sites of Global Service Operations
• Identify synergies and common pre- and post-treatment processes and equipment on Global Service Operations level
• Develop the individual team members towards the business needs
• Build and maintain a global Manufacturing Technology network
• Define and develop the Manufacturing Technology strategy and roadmap together with the Product Lines management and Global Service Operations
• Define global standard equipment and processes for the pre and post-treatment production steps, by ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations and Oerlikon HSE standards
• Identify new or alternative suppliers and production technologies and manage technical and commercial approval together with procurement
• Support the Operations Audit and Training Teams with all topics related to pre- and post-treatment.

• University background, ideally in mechanical engineering or science
• Strategic mindset and conceptual thinker
• Self-driven, independent, hands-on personality and team player
• Experience with innovation, process and project management
• Experience in managing a production line or a development group in an international company
• Proven Leadership track with direct line management experience
• Used to manage multiple complex projects, including technical, compliance/regulations and standardization
• Experience with interfaces and management in a global matrix organization
• Fluent in English (any further language is beneficial)
• Flexible to travel 50%
