Position Summary The
Supervisor, LabOps is responsible for performing all aspects of complex patient sample testing, such as solution and reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, and tasks that pertain to the handling and testing of patient specimens, with direct supervision. The Supervisor, LabOps is cross-functionally trained to perform all process steps and/or assays and assists with more complex troubleshooting or problem solving. The position provides on-the-job training to colleagues and also has responsibilities external to patient specimen processing that are project based or supporting qualification and validation activities.
What the job is about- Supervisory support - overseeing day to day operations of lab section. Serve as technical resource, Communicate training and competency assessment needs for work center. Support lab management. Generating content for lab staff meetings
- Utilize a deep understanding of the process to troubleshoot assays and instrumentation as needed
- Perform NGS Assays; DNAx, LC, HC, QC, Seq
- Perform testing workflow that maintains quality, thoroughness, and optimum efficiency result turnaround time
- Write, collaborate, revise and review standard operating procedures as needed to adjust for process improvement initiatives and regulatory changes
- Provide support for audit activities
- Lead implementation of new instruments, equipment and assays
- Perform competency assessments and final observations of trainings as needed
- Coordinates and oversees assay and equipment validations and qualifications
- Finally, work closely with Quality Assurance and internal stakeholders on customer complaints, Non-conformances and CAPAs
Your qualifications - Bachelor‘s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or life science field
- 6+ years of molecular laboratory work experience in an ISO:15189 regulated lab
- You are detail oriented with excellent prioritization and organizational skills and have a passion for documentation and management.
- You are fluent in German and English language.
