ATTOWORLD (www.attoworld.de) is a home for synergies across institutions and borders. By uniting the teams of the Laboratory for Attosecond Physics at the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics, the LMU Chair of Experimental Physics - Laser Physics and closely collaborating with clinics of the LMU and the Helmholtz Zentrum München in the Lasers for Life (L4L) Collaboration, we develop novel laser-based medical applications. Our new platform-technology is capable of determining a molecular fingerprint from blood samples in a time- and cost-efficient manner. This technology may lead to non-invasive, individualized healthmonitoring and early detection of diseases on populational scale. Medical Project/Study Coordinator (full time) (m/f/d)based at our offices at the Research Campus Garching.
The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension of the employment is possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Conceptual design, technical planning and coordination of an upcoming populational study;
- Strategic support and coordination of the processes to establish the infrastructure necessary for a populational study;
- Advising and supporting the management and scientists (physicists, life-scientists) in clinical and medical matters;
- Responsible contact person for medical questions, incl. medical literature research;
- Organizational implementation of official requirements (ethical allowances, etc.);
- (Co-)Authorship and support in preparation of funding applications;
- Interaction and coordination of collaborating partners and authorities;
- (Co-)Authorship of scientific publications.
Requirements and Qualifications: - PhD in one of the following fields: medical sciences, epidemiology, life sciences, laboratory medicine;
- Track record (min. 5 years) in medical/epidemiological environment or clinical practise;
- Strong knowledge of contemporary standard methods in clinical medicine and healthcare;
- Experience in project planning and management is advantageous;
- Experience in planning and writing project funding proposals is advantageous;
- Excellent knowledge of the German and English languages, both written and spoken;
- Strong teamwork, communication and organizational skills;
- Independent, goal-oriented and diligent work style,
- Strong sense of responsibility with a focus on the big picture;
- Flexibility in choice of tasks;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
