At our European headquarters in Düsseldorf, we act as the sales and distribution centre for the Zeon
corporation and its global affiliates. To enhance our business in Europe, we are seeking an experienced Automotive Industry Specialist for the role of:

Mobility Business Innovation Expert (f/m/d)

In your role as Mobility Business Innovation Expert (f/m/d), you support ZEON's efforts related to next-generation automotive mobility in Europe. The primary objective is to establish a strong network of contacts within the automotive OEMs, tier-ones, and key industry partners.

• Explore and establish new business opportunities (“seeds”) with both current and emerging ZEON materials to support ZEON's business in the early stages of the sales cycle.
• Conduct market investigation (“needs”) via meetings with OEMs, Tier 1s, and industry partners.
• Identify the needs and plant the seeds of ZEON's material innovation related to the C.A.S.E. (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electrified) area of mobility.
• Develop a deep understanding of ZEON's existing and emerging offerings in the C.A.S.E area.
• Identify emerging needs and trends in the automotive market and forward the information to ZEON's internal teams in Europe, USA and Japan.
• Establish partnership activities with key industry players – market sector consultants, technical testing centres, institutes/universities – aligned with ZEON's focus areas.
• Monitor OEM and Tier 1 shift to sustainability and reduction of carbon footprint and identify business opportunities and risk(s) for ZEON.

• Technical University degree e.g. Chemistry, Material Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering/Chemistry or other technical studies.
• At least 5 years professional experience, ideally in innovation or business development related to Automotive or other relevant industry.
• Proven track record of progressing business opportunities from initial needs and seeds to commercialization.
• Outstanding communication skills, comfort and ease talking with commercial & technical staff, both internally and with prospective customers and other external partners / institutions.
• Excellent German and English language skills, both verbal and written.
• Creative, self-disciplined, accurate, flexible, pro-active and persuasive.
• Flexible working approach and willingness to travel.
• Ideally, materials industry experience related to organic materials, polymers or elastomers.
