Lummus Novolen Technology GmbH (Novolen) has been a licensor in the field of polypropylene for over 50 years. Our Novolen® technology is one of the world's leading polypropylene technologies, with 22 million tons of annual production licensed capacity. Novolen® technology also includes NHP® catalysts for the production of the high-performance polypropylene products PPure™, Novolen Enhance™ and Novolen CirPPlus™, which find their application in a variety of consumer products.

Novolen is part of the globally active Lummus Technology group.

In addition to developing, elaborating and offering process and plant concepts for the production of polypropylene, our range of activities also includes the development and optimization of polypropylene catalysts and propylene polymers, their testing and evaluation, as well as technical consulting and support for licensees.



SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER (m/f/d)

POLYMERIZATION TECHNOLOGY AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

In Mannheim we are looking for a Process Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Process Development team at earliest date possible.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculations, life cycle cost, profitability estimation and equipment selection
  • Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids
  • Prepare technical engineering and construction specifications
  • Develop and implement advanced automation concepts, optimize and parameterize complex control loops
  • Initiate and support technical development work (process and instrumentation / automation) and test runs in customer plants, collect and validate experimental results
  • Supervise / initiate implementation of technology improvements into our standard design and transfer to our customers
  • Support the client in communication with equipment & instrument vendors according to the relevant aspects of Polymerization technology
  • Manage project issues, budgets and schedules
  • Act as consultant for internal and external customers for polymerization plant’s electrical and control system equipment


REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree, preferably in Process or Chemical Engineering
  • 2 - 5 years relevant professional experience in polymer reaction engineering preferred
  • Affinity to and knowledge in instrumentation and automation
  • Fluent business English and advanced German skills are required
  • Advanced mathematical or simulation skills
  • Analytical problem solving skills and innovative approach are highly welcome
  • Self-motivated, proactive and team oriented manner
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad
