bTrace Tomorrow is the digitalization unit within machine manufacturer BAADER. The focus is on an interdisciplinary team of digitalization experts who are committed to using digital possibilities and a global network of partners to improve the entire food value chain for all stakeholders involved – for an innovative, transparent and safe food supply.

You can be part of reaching our goals by shaping the solutions in all these areas in the strategic role of a Software Architect for Industrial Internet of Things. In this role, you’ll have the possibility to significantly design all parts of the key factor and have a true impact on how digitalization at BAADER is implemented. You’ll be responsible for the architecture governance for our to be defined IoT platform as well as different digital products in both scenarios edge as well as cloud.

• Your task will be the development of our edge and cloud digital platform and application back end solutions to digitalize our machines and the food processing value chain.
• This includes the integration of various data sources using IoT technologies and (industrial) protocols like OPC-UA, MQTT, REST etc.
• You will shape the design of our platform solution and select technologies and frameworks needed to build the platform.
• Make sure that our software is released quickly and with high quality by implementing state of the art DevOps practices (continuous integration, automated tests, infrastructure as code).
• Be a mentor for other developers.

• You have successfully completed studies in computer science or have a comparable qualification.
• You already gained relevant work experience in software development.
• Preferably, you already gained some experience in working with digital platforms.
• Knowledgeable in service architectures and docker.
• You have adequate knowledge of current frameworks and software development techniques.
• Preferably, you are experienced in .NET; however, as we are striving for a containerized architecture, we are also open for knowledge in other programming languages.
• You have experience in the application of agile software development process models.
• Experience in cloud developments is a plus.
• Solid spoken and written English is required.
• Ideas, problem-solving skills and persuasiveness are some of your competences.
